My name is Raven Turner and I proudly hold the status of alumna from Prairie View A&M University, also known as “The Hill,” where our motto is “Prairie View Produces Productive People.” My time at Prairie View was enriching, where I embraced a four-year athletic scholarship in the Women’s Track & Field Program. This experience extended my passion for sports and competition, driving forces that have significantly contributed to my success as a speaker and entrepreneur. My competitive spirit has not only propelled me in my career but has also been instrumental in shaping me into the person I am today.

Beyond my professional and academic pursuits, I cherish the moments spent with family and friends, finding joy and balance in life’s simple pleasures. My educational journey continued at Texas Women’s University, where I earned my Executive MBA, further equipping me to pursue my passions and make meaningful contributions to the world around me.
My Story
My story is one that is universal, a story that is woven with dreams and aspirations, yet marked by unexpected turns. After college, I aspired to be a collegiate athletic director, but this dream encountered unforeseen hurdles. Rejections from Nike and various schools diverted my course dramatically. Consequently, I found myself returning to live with my parents, taking up a night shift position at a group home where, from midnight to 8 a.m., I cared for individuals unable to care for themselves, earning just ten dollars an hour.

This chapter of my life wasn’t just about the struggle; it was about discovering the essence of resilience and perseverance. It’s a testament to not just surviving but thriving when the script of life doesn’t play out as written. When many might have conceded, I chose to push through, to compete with myself daily, and to cling to the belief that beyond failed plans, there’s a realm of possibility.
